oqLiq FW20 Is Equally Suited for City Strolls and Hillside Hikes

Taiwanese brand oqLiq made its American debut during New York Fashion Week: Men’s, offering a succinct introduction to its functional design cues. “Omni Direction,” the label’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection, boasts versatile silhouettes informed by contemporary technical textiles, amplified by a handful of clever stylistic cues.

Aiming to create trek gear both stylish enough for the city and tough enough for the trails, oqLiq sourced functional fabrics, like insulating POLARTEC and tear-proof nylon, for its latest genderless range. Irregular zippers, asymmetric pockets and woven layers offer some playful contrast to the more serious, function-driven items, bolstered by design cues inspired by traditional garments, including shapely hats, sash belts, collarless coats and gourd-like leather pouches on strings. An earthy color palette complements the utilitarian items, only occasionally upset by a bold splash of blue.

Shop the brand’s current selection on oqLiq’s website, with the new season set to arrive later this year.

Elsewhere at New York Fashion Week, we saw FW20 offerings from the likes of Palm Angels and Kenneth Nicholson.
