BEAMS & Columbia Link up for '90s Military-Inspired Capsule

After teaming up with Ziploc on a slew of transparent accessories, BEAMS has returned with yet another bold collaboration, this time calling in mountaineering label Columbia for a range of military-inspired outdoor styles. Featured is a concise spread of garments like zip-up jackets, T-shirts and shorts, as well as other accessories like hats and bags that come in muted colorways of gray and amber.

One noteworthy piece is the Challenger Windbreaker Jacket, coming with a bevy of details like mesh compartments and bold embroidery. Starting at the top of the garment is a “Columbia” branding etched at the tip of the hood, while the upper left chest is emblazoned with a tiny “BEAMS” tab. Tonal zippers line the central closure, complemented by a protective flap with velcro strips. The waist pockets boast see-through mesh paneling, finished off by an arm patch at the upper left to complete the jacket’s design.

Another highlight is a matching pair of shorts. It sees a semi-high cut as a nod to its outdoor design, accented by side slit pockets as well as a diagonal zipper opening. As a final touch, the shorts come with a tiny “Columbia” patch logo at the lower left leg and adjustable drawstrings at the waist. Other items like the monochromatic graphic T-shirts, pouch bags, bucket hats and running caps round up the concise assemblage.

The BEAMS x Columbia Spring/Summer 2020 capsule is currently available for pre-order at BEAMS’ website, ranging from $42 – $179 USD.
