BEAMS Couture Transforms Ziploc Pouches Into Transparent Bags and Accessories
The second collaboration offers T-shirts, umbrellas, backpacks and more.
BEAMS first partnered with upcycling-obsessed designer Keisuke Kanda for 2018’s Couture Ziploc collection, transforming the plastic bags into aprons, hats and more. For Spring/Summer 2020, the pair have rejoined, serving up an even more expansive selection of covetable Ziploc goods, even adding a few more collaborators into the mix.
All priced affordably, the collection’s goods include another umbrella, backpack, hat, tote bag, laptop case, small wallet and even an iPhone case for good measure, making it easy to pack your entire daily carry into Ziploc-branded pouches. Partnerships with Fruit of the Loom and Manhattan Portage yield an elevated take on the shoulder bag, replete with logo, and a set of playful graphic T-shirts, which cleverly place Fruit of the Loom’s citrusy logo inside a clear Ziploc bag.
Shop the special Couture goods on BEAMS’ web store, with select items also available in the retailer’s Japanese boutiques.
Meanwhile, BEAMS’ top-shelf menswear line, BEAMS Plus, recently introduced its own expansive Spring/Summer 2020 offering.
