Nyjah Huston's Latest Nike SB Nyjah Free 2 Salutes LeBron James
With a Lakers-style color scheme and the King’s #23 stamped on the heel.

Wrapping up its successful first year on the market, Nyjah Huston and Nike SB‘s Nyjah Free 2 is set to release in a colorway inspired by the skater’s favorite basketball player: LeBron James. The NBA and Nike SB partnership began in earnest back in 2018 and has seen the release of everything from SB Dunks to SB Blazers and SB Janoskis, but Huston’s Nyjah Free 2 differs in one major way: it’s focused on a specific player instead of a team or league iconography.
Uppers use a crisp white tone as the base, nodding to the Los Angeles Lakers‘ alternate jerseys and built of a mesh and rubber mixture for lightweight durability. Midfoot Swooshes are done up in purple, with tongue and heel tabs alternating between purple and yellow embellishments. Lateral heels serve up the shoe’s signature detail, presenting LeBron’s #23 in purple and gold. Down below, yellow EVA midsoles are encased in a translucent rubber shell to complete the look.
It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time a LA-based skater has used his Nike shoes to pay homage to a Laker legend — in 2011, Eric Koston‘s SB Zoom Koston 1 released in two Kobe Bryant-inspired makeups: one that was a general release, the other limited to 24 pairs and only available at Staples Center.
This King James-themed Nike SB Nyjah Free 2 is available now via global retailers like 1991 Skateshop, and will arrive at stockists like The Berrics Canteen in the coming weeks as well.
