Michael Lau and PUMA Reunite for Third Sample-Inspired Collab
Continuing to take inspiration from sample sneakers and the creative process behind them

Having previously worked together on a SAMPLE SUEDE in 2017 and the SUEDE 50 series in 2018, PUMA and Michael Lau have teamed up for a third collaborative release.
Lau, known by many as the “godfather of toy figures”, has once again drawn inspiration from sample sneakers and the creative process behind them. Zig-zag finishes of suede samples have been stitched onto the sneaker, while a bright red colorway evokes a warm and festive feel.
Dubbed the PUMA x Michael Lau Suede VTG, each shoe in a pair dons mismatched shades of red, while some will also arrive with a WORTH CAT figurine, inspired by the PUMA logo. Hand-made using the same material as the sneakers, a limited run of red, yellow, white or black iterations will be available in Hong Kong and Taiwan only.
The Michael Lau x PUMA Suede VTG will launch globally on December 22 via the PUMA webstore, while a full collection of footwear, apparel and accessories is set to launch next month.
