The Berrics has partnered with Illumination Entertainment for a bright yellow skate deck celebrating the 10th anniversary of Minions. To highlight this collab, Eric Koston and Sean Malto decided it would be a neat idea to skate around The Berrics’ indoor skatepark in giant inflated Minions suits. The result is a pretty good example of skill and comedy, and it might be a bit hard to watch it all with a straight face.

In the video, Koston explains how The Berrics’ skatepark underwent some remodeling since the team at the facility has had a “little time” on their hands lately. The video then pans around the skatepark, showing some skid marks and scattered fixtures while Koston mentions how “there’s a lot of Spring cleaning” due. Sifting through a pile of miscellaneous objects accumulated over the years, Koston and Malto “stumble” across two inflatable Minions suits, which they then immediately wear to skate around in. “I can’t see anything,” says Malto as he trips over. It looks like they somewhat find their balance later on, but there’s still a handful of quick cuts of them falling over, which is pretty amusing.

Most of The Berrics x Minions’ new skate deck sports vibrant yellow paint. At the center of the board is a close-up image of a Minions mouth, showing just the top row teeth with its gleaming braces. Besides The Berrics’ logo stamped at one end of the deck, most of the board’s design is kept relatively minimal, so the focus is really on that awkward expression — the other side of the board is painted in solid blue. The Berrics’ have urged skaters and collectors to quickly get their hands on the decks since only 250 of them were made.

The Berrics and Minions’ collaborative skate deck is currently available on The Canteen’s website for $60 USD.

If you enjoyed the clip above, you might be inclined to watch Nyjah Huston skate on a Lamborghini Huracán at The Berrics.
