Amsterdam-based Lack of Guidance has announced a new project celebrating England and Manchester City footballer Raheem Sterling. Titled “Raheem on a Sterling,” the project pays tribute to Sterling’s ongoing campaign against racism in football stadiums and in the country’s tabloid newspapers.

The focal point of the collection is a series of banknotes featuring Sterling’s face, which Lack of Guidance explain is because “his commitment to pushing a positive agenda and giving young England fans, of all backgrounds, class and color, the hero they deserve is something we can all be proud of.” The banknotes were all designed through a series of workshops with young people, with the designs then printed onto recycled newspapers featuring negative reports about Raheem Sterling.

All 10 of the banknotes are being auctioned via the Lack of Guidance website now, and each one is also available for a fixed price of £500 GBP (approximately $670 USD). The designs have also been printed onto black T-shirts, priced at €50 EUR (approximately $60 USD). All profits from the initiative will be donated to an organization that uses football to support disadvantaged young people in the UK.
