Kanye West Delivers Surprise Sunday Service Choir 'Emmanuel' EP
Skyrocketing to the top of the gospel charts.
To mark the festive season, Kanye West dropped an unexpected “celebration of the miracle of the birth of Jesus Christ.” Titled Emmanuel, the five-song project performed by the Sunday Service Choir was executive produced and composed by Kanye West with cover artwork by Nick Knight.
Shortly after being released, the follow-up to 2019’s Jesus Is Born incredibly skyrocketed to the number one spot on the gospel charts. The title of the album means “God is with us” in Hebrew and stands as a contemporary composition of ancient and Latin inspired gospel music.
