Under Armour Shares a Detailed Look at the Curry 8 “Golden Flow"
The regal colorway pays homage to the sharpshooter’s hoops journey, as well as the coaches and mentors that assisted him along the way.
Curry Brand has hit the ground running since launching towards the end of November 2020, and now it has unveiled its third proposition to the basketball space: the Curry 8 “Golden Flow”. Unlike this silhouette’s previously dropped makeups, this offering favors a lighter-toned color story.
This particular installment is crafted to honor the three point maestro’s basketball journey, as well as his past coaches and mentors that helped develop him into the two-time MVP, three-time champion that he is today.
Engineered for the court, the “Golden Flow” is dependent on all but just two tones to outfit its entirety: “White” and “Metallic Gold”. The former takes care of covering the sock-like knitted base as well as the textured midsoles and treading, while the latter is most pronounced along the mudguards and heel overlays. Gilded accents also make an appearance on the lace tips, lace loops closest to the ankle and the Curry-branded heel tabs.
On the sock liners you’ll find a notation that reads “DavidsonTCC” which is an abbreviated phrase often said by Bob McKillop — his college coach at Davidson University — that means “Trust, Commitment, Care”.
In addition to this general release launch, Steph Curry and Under Armour also teamed up with custom jewelry designer Dan Life to craft eight bedazzled “24k” Curry Flow 8 pairs, all of which will be gifted to leaders who are utilizing sports programs to bring access and opportunity to local youth, coaches, and mentors who are striving to develop leaders of the game within their communities.
