New Balance's Latest Minimalist COMP100 Imbibes in "Sedona Sage"
Exclusive to URBAN RESEARCH DOORS.

Already co-signed by labels like Junya Watanabe and AURALEE, New Balance‘s revival of its sleek COMP100 sneaker is clearly a Japanese favorite, with its low-key, retro shape making it a versatile, easy-to-style shoe. URBAN RESEARCH‘s youthful DOORS sub-label is the latest imprint to offer its own spin on the style, drenching the quiet model in “Sedona Sage.”
First launched back in the ’70s, the COMP100 is bereft of the high-tech details that inform today’s running shoes, making it all the more charming in how its shape and minimal design cues speak for themselves. The upper of this exclusive model is, appropriately, realized in greyish-green tones throughout, from the breathable mesh toebox to the panels of suede that grace the toe, mid-foot and heel.
A bulbous “N” logo stands out starkly against the tonal upper, complementing the beige, white and black shades that grace the sole. On the heel, a simple branded hit and “COMP100” verbiage maintain the understated styling.
New Balance’s COMP100 “Sedona Sage” is available for pre-order only on URBAN RESEARCH’s web store for a relatively affordable ¥9,790 JPY (approximately $95 USD).
More vintage New Balance styles are en route for store shelves, as the sneaker company is set to revive its coveted 550 basketball silhouette.
