Lil Wayne Officially Announces 'No Ceilings 3' Release Date
DJ Khaled also previewed the mixtape’s new collab between Weezy and Drake.
Lil Wayne has officially announced the release date of his highly-anticipated project, No Ceilings 3.
The mixtape is scheduled to drop November 27 via DatPiff, and marks Weezy F. Baby’s first project in the revered series in five years. “The mixtape game seemed to be a dying art and since I’m one of the pioneers of the craft, and it played such a big part in my career, I felt it was only right to resurrect it,” he said in a statement. “Also, it’s a lot of songs out here I wanted to kill my way!”
DJ Khaled and DatPiff also shared an exclusive video with previews of several No Ceilings 3 cuts, including a new collaboration between Wayne and Drake plus a remix of Lil Baby and 42 Dugg‘s “We Paid.”
The mixtape will arrive with three different cover artworks, all designed by HustleGrl, who also created the album art of the first No Ceilings project.
The No Ceilings mixtape series started in 2009 and received a sequel in 2015. The rapper previously confirmed that both No Ceilings 3 and Tha Carter VI are on the way, but the former will drop first. Rumors also point to other Lil Wayne collaborations, such a Nicki Minaj album, the Juelz Santana I Can’t Feel My Face project and the followup to ColleGrove 2 with 2 Chainz.
