Tinashe Surprise Drops Christmas-Themed EP 'Comfort & Joy'
The R&B sensation puts her own flavor on an assortment of Christmas classics.

The time of the year when it’s most appropriate to obnoxiously blast Christmas-themed music throughout your home is drawing near, and Tinashe has delved right into the spirit of the giving season by blessing fans with a new holiday EP. Fittingly entitled Comfort & Joy — two emotions many of us can certainly use right now during these tumultuous times — the album is inclusive of eight total tracks, most of which are spin-offs of festive Christmas tunes.
Apart from the self-titled intro, the rest of her tracklist features a handful of popular classics such as “Last Christmas, “The Christmas Song” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”. Clocking in at nearly 18 and a half minutes, the project makes for a short and sweet option to keep in rotation throughout the days leading up to the December 25th holiday.
Currently, the Lexington-born artist is in between launches of her next LP album release, but has still been cooking up in the studio as she was recently enlisted by rapper Buddy for his newest song “Glitch”, as well as Iggy Azalea for “Dance Like Nobody’s Watching”.
Comfort & Joy is now available on streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music.
Elsewhere in music, the nominees for the 2021 Grammy Awards have been revealed.
