Antihero x Supreme Fall/Winter 2020 Collection
Two titans of skateboarding reunite for “ATMOSPHERE URINE.”
Die-hard fans may be concerned that Supreme has “gone corporate” but the vaunted skate label’s latest partnership with Antihero is proof positive that it still has a sense of humor. For their first collaboration since 2016, the two brands have again remixed their own logos but this effort is by far the most tongue-in-cheek- to date: introducing “ATMOSPHERE URINE.”
Though they were each founded only a year apart, Antihero and Supreme didn’t join forces until 2014, issuing a series of items remixed with playful “SUPR-HERO” crossover logos. The concept was dropped in 2016 but has returned in force this year, as letters from Supreme and Antihero’s logos have been “cut out” and rearranged to spell out “ATMOSPHERE URINE,” a joyfully juvenile flip on the usual co-branding stylization.
Twill jackets, hooded sweatshirts, T-shirts, beanies and set of skateboards all feature the flipped logos, realized large and in charge across the front and back of various piece. The tees, however, shrink the text and place it on the rear, giving place of presence to a pair of edited photos. One shows a smiling ICE agent with an inverted Supreme Box Logo across her eyes and Antihero eagle bursting from her chest, Alien style; its counterpart features Michael Jackson dangling his child, Blanket, over a hotel balcony and is laden with similarly revisionist graphics.
The Antihero goods drop at Supreme’s website and stores November 27 in America before launching in Japan the next day.
Most recently, Supreme rolled out seasonal partnerships with Stone Island and Timberland.
