Children of the Discordance Chops up Vintage Band Tees for Latest DSM Ginza-Exclusive
Modeled and inspired by emerging Japanese rapper ralph.
Children of the Discordance has graced Dover Street Market Ginza with several rounds of special garments in the past year alone, and that trend isn’t likely to stop any time soon. The Japanese upcycling-focused label has enlisted emerging rapper ralph to showcase its new DSM-exclusive offering, complete with items inspired by his own single, “BLACK BANDANA.”
Accompanying a range of patchworked shirts, sweaters and accessories — including a neckwarmer co-created with MEANSWHILE – hand-stitched bandana shirts and anoraks are at the core of the capsule, elevated by vivid colors achieved by time-intensive dye processes and delicate fringe. The recycled T-shirts, meanwhile, are also pieced together from vintage wearables, retaining the original artwork emblazoned upon each band tee, including designs from Lil Wayne, Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath. However, one tee is solely dedicated to ralph, complete with his paisley-patterned bandana.
Children of the Discordance’s latest round of upcycled apparel will be available exclusively at Dover Street Market Ginza on November 28.
