Bloomingdale's Doubles Down on Color-Blocking With New Sneakers From PUMA and New Balance

Bloomingdale’s is keeping pace by adding new color-blocking footwear options to its wide ranging sneaker collection. The retailer is now offering the PUMA Women’s RS-X³ “Wildcats” low top and the New Balance 997 from the brand’s “Made in US” men’s series. Both represent bold, mixed media options that creatively play with color and material.

The PUMA RS-X³ “Wildcats” low top sneaker is a reboot RS design from the footwear brand, taking its already exaggerated silhouette to new heights with a bold use of prints. The shoe features a combination of contrasting animal motifs and a mix of materials for added texture. Synthetic leather combines with synthetic pony hair, suede overlays and a khaki and orange color scheme for a truly wild look.

The New Balance men’s 997 hones in on a combination of grey, yellow, orange and blue, reimagining the popular model with a sunny disposition. The shoe is part of New Balance’s “Made in US” collection, so it’s a truly homegrown option from the family-owned footwear purveyor. A leather upper, rubber sole and logo branding at the tongue, sole edge and heel round out the bright sneaker.
