Nike has offered two ’70s-inspired colorways of the Challenger OG from its seasonal lineup. Joining throwback takes of the Blazer Mid ‘77 and Air Force 1, the Challenger has been added to the “Label Maker” pack, showcasing bold “Kumquat” and “Light Blue” iterations.
Embodying a sleek OG mold, the shoe has been given fresh materials like premium suede, nylon and full-grain leather that reflect the silhouette’s vintage aesthetic. A woven “Nike” tongue tag is placed at the top of the shoe, complemented by a set of flat laces that are looped through suede eyelet panels. Placed along the sidewalls are smooth nylon uppers, accented by a leather Swoosh, while a breathable mesh toebox and a cream-colored midsole nod to the shoe’s OG look. As a final touch, the shoe comes with a slightly weathered “CHALLENGER” tab at the rear quarter, rounding up the details of the heritage silhouette.
Nike’s Challenger OG “Kumquat” and “Light Blue” are currently available on atmos’ website for $95 USD.
