Take a Closer Look at Valentino's Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 SD Collaboration
Neon pairs and traditional colorways were served at its PFW FW20 show.
Valentino recently debuted its Fall/Winter 2020 menswear collection at Paris Fashion Week, showcasing an eclectic variety of garments alongside a collaboration with Onitsuka Tiger.
The FW20 footwear collaboration from Valentino consists of a set of reworked Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 SD sneakers, appearing in a host of vibrant and traditional colorways. First up is one of the Japanese footwear label’s most iconic colorways — white with blue, red and off white accents. The pair is made from premium leather and suede, taking on the form of a smarter sneaker thanks to its luxe laces, co-branded leather tongue tab, dual-branded leather insoles and overall high-end finish.

On the lateral mid-panel, Valentino has included a large “V” insignia in its signature house color of dark red. This stamp is said to be hand-printed, and can also be found on the neon orange, neon pink, neon yellow and crisp white pairs in black.
Whereas the signature sneaker takes on a multicolored colorway, the neon offerings come as a block color, with the upper, insides and sole unit appearing in one bright shade. These four neon pairs are said to be available exclusively via Valentino boutiques and its website, while Onitsuka Tiger will manage the traditional colorway at its stores and via its website.
The Valentino x Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 SD collaboration is said to be releasing sometime this summer. Stay tuned to HYPEBEAST for pricing and official release date information.
