UK-based label STORY mfg. has followed on from its “Gentle Machines” collection for Spring/Summer 2020 with a Fall/Winter 2020 collection inspired by British psychonauts and otherworldly experiences. Explaining this influence, the brand points to “wanderers of altered states seeking spiritual or internal exploration.”

The brand mixes these references with continued themes from previous collections, with ideas of craft and nature sitting as prominently as ever in the collection. New features include a custom-made British forest camouflage, which features a number of easter eggs hidden in the pattern, as well as handwoven ripstop, the use of ikat dyeing and a range of natural dyes.

The outdoors act as the main reference point for the shapes throughout the collection, which includes technical details reworked into homemade materials. Key items from the “Inner Reaches” collection include the camping “Peace Pants,” quilted linen “Caravan Jacket” and hooded handloom “Moon Jacket.” Additionally, returning favorites including the hand crochet “Piece Scarves” sit alongside an expanded range of printed T-shirts.

Take a look through the “Inner Reaches” collection in the gallery above, and expect it to arrive via the STORY mfg. web store later in the year.
