Schepers Bosman Spotlights Its DIY Mentality for FW20
Spotlighting raw collage and patchworking techniques.

Featured on our Five Best Collections From Prague Fashion Week SS19 list, the design duo of Schepers Bosman — made up of Sanne Schepers (a graduate of l’Institut Français de la Mode) and Anne Bosman (a Central Saint Martins alumni) — return for a vibrant, pattern-heavy Fall/Winter 2020 offering.
Schepers Bosman‘s latest seasonal offering is a collection of “workwear with show aesthetics,” and is directly inspired by music; and more specifically each garment is directly related to a musician.
Striking an even balance between streetwear and luxe, stand out pieces include the re-designed workwear and suits along with the patchwork-heavy jumpsuits and trousers. The sleek and playful silhouettes are then dressed in vibrant color palettes of pinks, blues and purples, while darker tones are featured heavily on the outerwear looks.
All items in the FW20 range have been crafted with a DIY mentality and features raw collage and patchworking techniques, manual and mechanical embroidery and handmade vinyl prints. Furthermore, the embroidery and patchworks are inspired by merchandise stickers and taped graphics on music gear. Additionally, the items have been fashioned from Northern English cotton, handwashed denim, sandwash polyamide, cotton jersey, German merino and woolen wirkloden. Lastly the footwear was made in conjunction with Mephisto.
The collection also includes two re-worked Hacked By_ sweaters, a label founded by Dutch fashion designers Alexander van Slobbe and Francisco van Benthum whom develop looks by using overstock materials.
Schepers Bosman‘s Fall/Winter 2020 collection has been released in Paris since Thursday, January 16. The duo have already seen multiple accolades including winning the design competition at Les Etoiles Mercedes-Benz. Make sure to keep an eye on this up-and-coming label.
Recently Schepers Bosman collaborated with German brand pinqponq on a range of bags.
