Octavian Drops off Ominous Bars in "Death of a Traitor Freestyle"

Parisian-born Londoner Octavian has been making waves in the UK’s rapidly-rising hip-hop scene. Last year he dropped off his surprise ENDORPHINS mixtape which featured collaborations with a bevy of hip-hop’s finest talent. Continuing to trade grime for melodious raps and instrumentals, the Essie Gang frontman capped 2019 with his crew’s first single “Pattern Chanel,” equally finding his way into Supreme’s Nike Air Max 95 Lux lookbook. Now he’s kicking off 2020 with a new solo effort titled “Death of a Traitor Freestyle,” releasing a video alongside the track to commemorate his 24th birthday.
Aggressively teeing off over the drill-friendly beat, Octavian ominously raps “N***as say I’m coming’ but I’m pulling up late/Ya face get cut up you stand in my wave/Ya face get bruk up you stand in my way,” and more. The video remains relatively low budget in scale, with the majority of the clips simply showcasing the Londoner rapping out his bars alongside his posse in a studio.
