CMMN SWDN FW20 Proffers Bold Silhouettes and Bolder Patterns
Extra-large outerwear emblazoned in swirling shapes, crumbling brocades and rich florals.
Fresh from its Woolmark prize semi-final nod, CMMN SWDN has developed another range of relaxed wearables laden with color and comfy cuts. Fall/Winter 2020 is one of the Swedish label’s loungiest collections to date, with a host of billowing coats, oversized shirts and baggy trousers, all rich with bold patterns.
Fuzzy sweaters, knitted scarves and skin-tight base layers all sport striking patterns, ensuring that every look is loaded with visual interest. Effortless layering pieces include lightweight shirt-jackets, boxy blazers and wool sweaters — if they haven’t been dip-dyed, jacquard-woven or patterned with abstract shapes, each is executed in saturated solid tones like grassy green and deep blue. Flared and pooling trousers anchor the weighty layers above, with black, green and check slacks offering a counterpoint to the leopard-printed robes and splotchy viscose shirts.
