Dima Leu Explores Contemporary Shapes and Sartorial Wisdom With AW20 Homme Collection
Inspired by the Valle d’Itria, Italy.

This season, Dima Leu has returned with more offerings from its Sports Suit tailored-sportswear collection, but beyond that, the label is now venturing into new ground as well with its latest Autumn/Winter 2020 Homme Collection.
A collaborative effort with those from Valle d’Itria, an Italian region renowned for its sartorial mastery in tailoring suits, Dime Leu explores the blend and balance between contemporary shapes and traditional sartorial wisdom, highlighting the characteristics of ancient fabrics whilst tapping a color palette reminiscent of the old architecture of the Italian locality, bringing out blacks, browns, greys, greens, blues, violets, and ochers.
For its first Homme collection, Leu has chosen the theme of “Ancient Fruits,” a name which refers to the two-piece suits and coats he has conjured. Velvets, wide lapels on short double-breasted jackets with looser volumes, Japanese polyester twill trench coats, and rounded trousers all come together, alongside a blue washed wool blazer with lateral pleats and creased trousers, and single-breasted jackets with military-inspired buttoning. The collection is described by the designer as a representation of “the wardrobes of times gone by revisited through the sensitivity of the avant-garde.”
