Without the guidance of Creative Director Demna Gvasalia, onlookers during Vetements‘ recent Paris Fashion Week show speculated whether the brand would retain its forthright and undaunted spirit. As the label’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection made its way down the runway, the transitional lineup was subdued yet familiar, with co-founder Guram Gvasalia committed to getting back to the basics. If Vetements’ irreverent attitude wasn’t apparent in the collection, it certainly extended into the show as uncanny lookalikes of famous celebrities like Kate Moss, Snoop Dogg, Mike Tyson, Naomi Campbell and Angelina Jolie, were employed as models.

We sat up-close during the event where notable figures including the actual Kate Moss, along with Michele Lamy, Carine Roitfeld, and Kerwin Frost all showed up to get a glance at the collection post-Demna. With a range of oversized sequin blazers, graphic-led tees, boxy puffers, floor-length gowns and tonal black hues, the collection showcases more sophisticated silhouettes as compared to its recent projects. However, with audacious slogans like “GVASALIA FOR PRESIDENT” and “NO SOCIAL MEDIA THANK YOU,” it’s evident that Vetements remains committed to its origins.

Take a front-row look above and see what people wore on the streets of Paris Fashion Week for Fall/Winter 2020.
