SwaVay Vibes With His DOLO Family in Visual for "Darkskin Chris Brown"
Continuing to showcase his articulate blend of R&B and trap.
Sole Boominati Worldwide signee SwaVay capped 2019 with a riotous track alongside Na-Kel Smith titled “Gimmicks,” creeping over the w1erdo-produced beat as he took aim at fakes. Now the rapper-meets-producer returns with a new visual for his Pure Infinity project highlight, “Darkskin Chris Brown.”
Continuing to paint his R&B and trap infusion within the same breath, the Atlanta-native brings out his bold lyrics, delivering them across sung hooks and ominously-rapped verses. In the visual, SwaVay can be seen vibing out in an old Benz and alongside his North Atlanta DOLO squad. Speaking to HYPEBEAST, SwaVay shared a bit about the track:
Me and my DOLO family all loved the song, had to package it in – Pure Infinity really meant a lot to me because I laid it all out there and really made myself vulnerable by giving ya’ll a birds-eye view into my world of relationships and my connection to my city. Just tryna let everyone know that you can do whatever you want – R&B and trap at the same time. Not one size fits all, do it all.
