The 1975 Fantasizes About Love on "Me & You Together Song"

Back in 2018, The 1975 released its highly-anticipated third studio album, A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships. The English pop rock band are back with a new track off of their upcoming project, titled Notes on a Conditional Form. “Me & You Together Song” is the fourth track to be released from the album.

The up-beat track features Matt Healy singing about an infatuation with a friend over heavy guitar and drum beats. He details the dreams and fantasies one has when they’re blissfully in love with lyrics such as “I’ve been in love with her for ages/And I can’t seem to get it right/I fell in love with her in stages/My whole life” and “But we’re friends, so it’s cool, why would it not be?”

Although Notes on a Conditional Form was expected to drop February 21, the band recently revealed that the album’s release date was pushed back to April 24. “It takes like three months or something to physically make a record on vinyl so it comes out on the 24th of April, I think,” Healy said on Instagram Live. “Sorry if that’s annoying or whatever.” He continued to say that he was “really proud” of the upcoming studio album.
