Converse Preps Mainline Run Star Hike, Hybrid CPX70 and Split Chuck Taylor Sneakers for Spring 2020
New styles and former JW Anderson collaborations.

Converse is prepping a compelling selection of new sneaker styles for Spring 2020, delivering a slew of remixed classics and a couple new models. Along with the timeless Chuck Taylor, there’s another hybrid silhouette and a mainline Run Star Hike shoe, no longer exclusive to JW Anderson collaborations.
Like the recent E260, Converse’s new CPX70 fuses together retro sneakers and the ultra-versatile Chuck Taylor ‘70. The CPX70 brings together a brand new rubber cupsole, which incorporates the late-’80s ERX’s heel, the One Star‘s medial and a Pro Leather forefoot. Up top, the Chuck’s core components are relatively unchanged, offered in black, tan and leopard iterations.
The Run Star Hike should be familiar to anyone following the recent JW Anderson x Converse collaborations, with a Chuck upper welded to a hefty, grippy outsole. Meanwhile, the Chuck Taylor itself boasts a few altered makeups, including shoes with multiple Chevron Star badges and platform low-top sneakers, all elevated with tweaked tongue, heel and medial side branding inspired by Converse’s archive.
Look for the seasonal collection to arrive on Converse’s website and stockists like HBX later this month.
Most recently, Converse delivered runway collaborations by way of Paria Farzaneh and Eastwood Danso.
