Yoon Teases Furry AMBUSH x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Collaboration
The Fall 2020 sneakers are offered in timely “Classic Blue.”
Almost immediately after luxury lynchpin New Guards Group announced a majority stake in the Japanese brand, AMBUSH co-founder Yoon has teased another Converse collaboration. Like the label’s previous Chuck Taylor revision, the forthcoming sneaker is another dramatic revamp of the renowned silhouette.
Executed in timely “Classic Blue,” the Chuck Taylor‘s shape is almost unrecognizable thanks to the shock of faux fur that covers the uppers. A stark white accent near the toe breaks up the tonal detailing, with the medial side Converse logo all but hidden amidst the fuzzy uppers. A conventional white rubber sole unit is free from the usual black foxing stripe, with a black AMBUSH-branded heel tag reinforcing the collaborative motif, in case the unmistakable uppers weren’t enough.
Expect AMBUSH’s latest bespoke Chuck Taylor shoes to launch in Fall 2020, likely tying in with its forthcoming Fall/Winter 2020 range.
