'A Quiet Place Part II' Official Trailer Shows the Monsters' Arrival
The movie will also star Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou.
After a wildly successful first chapter, John Krasinki‘s “silent horror” film returns with A Quiet Place Part II, this time with a full theatrical trailer.
According to the trailer, the film will piece together both a backstory and a continuation of the events in A Quiet Place, where the survivors Evelyn (played by Emily Blunt), Marcus (Noah Jupe) and Regan (Millicent Simmonds) continue on their journey through a ravished America in silence to avoid the aural-sensitive monsters. The preview reveals their task of finding other survivors along their path, running into scavengers played by Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou. The trio realize the newcomers’ positive intentions, but are reminded of post-apocalyptical basics: besides the impending doom, it’s humans who you’ll have to fight off as well.
Prequel-wise, the 2:37 trailer reveals the movie will contain information on the monster’s arrival, as they wreck havoc and chaos in their small hometown. While Part I didn’t explain much of their origins, it seems Part II will answer a lot of burning questions from fans who were curious of the monsters’ beginnings.
John Krasinki returns as director for this sequel. A Quiet Place Part II hits theaters March 20, 2020. In the meantime, be sure to read our list of the best movies and TV shows to watch in January.
