Taku Obata & Galerie Bomma to Release Limited 'B-Boy' Porcelain Figure in Paris
Arriving in an edition of 30 with 10 artist proofs.
After unveiling original wooden sculptures at the artKYOTO fair, Japanese artist Taku Obata now reveals a collaborative edition with Paris-based Galerie Bomma. The all-white porcelain sculpture features a new dynamic form of Obata’s ubiquitous ‘B-Boy’ character in a squatting position. The artist alongside the gallery developed the series in Limoges using traditional ceramic techniques.
Standing 17-centimeters tall, the porcelain figure is set to release in an edition of 30 with 10 artist proofs. Each figure is also signed in the mold, numbered and dated. Expect a physical launch at Galerie Bomma in the coming weeks.
