Maxo Kream & Megan Thee Stallion Host Their Own Reality Shows for "She Live" Video
Directed by Omar Jones.
Back in July, Maxo Kream released his latest full-length studio album, Brandon Banks. Comprised of 15 tracks, Maxo’s Brandon Banks LP features collaborations with Travis Scott, ScHoolboy Q, A$AP Ferg, Mike Dean, Murda Beatz and others, and serves as his first major studio project since signing his new deal with RCA Records. Now, continuing to support and promote his critically-acclaimed Punken follow-up, the Houston rapper is reconnecting with fellow Texan Megan Thee Stallion for the official music video in support of their Brandon Banks single, “She Live.”
Notably, Maxo Kream and Megan Thee Stallion’s visual for “She Live” was put together by director Omar Jones, and is billed as an “homage” to Flavor Flav’s influential reality TV series Flavor of Love.
“This album is me telling the story of how I’m just like my dad except he was a scammer and I was a trapper,” Maxo Kream previously shared, delivering a brief statement to break down the themes and narrative of his sophomore album. “Despite his flaws, he was a great parent, always made sure the rent was paid, made sure I went to school, taught me right from wrong. I wasn’t raised to be a trapper, it just happened because of my circumstances. My relationship with my dad now is great – I used to be terrified of him growing up but now that’s my n***a. We’re like yin and yang.”
