Daniel Arsham to Display Eroded Artworks at Upcoming Istanbul Exhibition
Cast sculptures of the artist’s personal objects.
Daniel Arsham will soon launch an exhibition at Les Benjamins in Istanbul, Turkey. Made in collaboration with Perrotin New York and the Mosaic Art Foundation, the presentation entitled “Self Sculpture” will display a range of eroded sculptures inspired by the artist’s personal objects. From an Air Jordan 3 silhouette crafted using volcanic ash to a Snoopy phone reformed into pink selenite and quartz, a slew of life-sized cast works will be on display.
