Daniel Arsham, nendo & More to Display Sculptural Hourglass Works
As part of a Singapore exhibition entitled “Then Now Beyond.”
Mavens of the design and art world are coming together to take part in a group exhibition that celebrates the 40th anniversary of The Hour Glass, one of the world’s leading specialist luxury watch retailers. Entitled “Then Now Beyond,” the forthcoming presentation will feature original works inspired by the perennial hourglass by Daniel Arsham of Snarkitecture, Marc Newson, nendo, and Studio Wieki Somers. These sculptural objects will grace the emporium Malmaison by The Hour Glass in Singapore.
Highlights of the installment will include Newson’s take on the ancient water clock made using hand-crafted crystal forms, nendo’s cuboid-shaped clock that will be sculpted from one singular form with two hands sliced from the structure, and a new Future Relic piece by Daniel Arsham. Accompanying the show is a curated selection of commemorative edition watches made in tandem with Audemars Piguet, Chopard, De Bethune, Franck Muller, among others.
The exhibition will be open to the public starting November 23 and running through January 2020. View representative works and renders above. Visit the Hourglass’s website to learn more.
In other dynamic presentations, William LaChance will display beachy abstract paintings to Joshua Liner Gallery.
