Descente ALLTERRAIN Battles the Elements in Tech-Heavy FW19 Collection
Adding award-winning weatherproof functionality to its outwear.

Japanese sportswear label Descente has presented its Fall/Winter 2019 collection of ALLTERRAIN leisurewear garments. Consisting of a selection of technical outerwear and the EXP 19.5 backpack, this season’s collection continues its benchmark-setting standard with a variety of high-quality, award-winning pieces.
Descente ALLTERRAIN has been awarded a gold medal in each of the past three years at the ISPO sporting goods trade show in Munich, and continues to apply this accolade to its FW19 collection. Standout outerwear pieces include the MIZUSAWA DOWN JACKET with non-quilted thermal bonding and a seam-tape construction, providing unparalleled levels of waterproofness. Each piece is thought-out in the design process, with technology such as a Parahood system being implemented to stop rain and snow from pooling around the neckline.
Other pieces such as the SCHEMATECH ACTIVE SHELL JACKET are made from 20K water-resistant, breathable Grid Air 2.5L fabric — making for a small-mesh construction that is water-resistant, perfectly ventilated and capable of managing humidity levels. Elsewhere you can find a transforming down coat that can be worn as either a short jacket or a long shell coat, a clean all-weather coat and full-zip hoodie.
