As NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo leads Greece into the FIBA World Cup with the newest iteration of his debut signature sneaker, the Nike Zoom Freak 1 “Greece.”

Inspired by the colors of his home country’s national flag, the basketball shoe arrives in a simple blue and white motif. Underneath the upper’s mesh overlay, a repeating pattern of the Greek fret can be found subtly hiding on the panel and toebox, providing a soft contrast of white. The distinctly reversed oversized swoosh lands in a regal gold hue, supported by additional branding hits like his 34 jersey number heel embroidery, his tongue emblem embroidered in gold, a smaller swoosh down the throat and another white check on the lateral area. Resting on a double-stacked Zoom Air unit, the silhouette features a two-tone outsole with a special traction pattern for maximum playability.

The Nike Zoom Freak 1 “Greece” drops September 27 on nike.com for $120 USD.

In other footwear news, the OBJ x Nike Air Max 720 “Young King of the People” is getting a Nike SNKRS release.
