Norlan Launches Room Fragrance Collaboration with Mark Buxton
Buxton was responsible for creating the very first Commes Des Garcons fragrance among others.

Interdisciplinary artist and fashion designer Sruli Recht recently enlisted fragrance expert Mark Buxton for a new collaboration under Recht’s Norlan brand. Buxton is known for creating the very first Commes Des Garcons fragrance alongside developing fragrances for Burberry, Givenchy, among others. For the partnership, the master perfumer concocted three distinct room fragrances: On the Dense Wet Edge of the Highlands, Below the Looming Sharp Rocks of Skye, and Where the Coast Divides the Water and Sky on Islay.
Accompanying the three scents is a collaborative ceramic diffuser called the Vam Monolith diffuser designed by Recht. The innovative home item boasts a porous branched structure that allows more surface area for the absorption of oils while “providing an open body for passive bio-mimetic airflow, thereby increasing the dispersion of the fragrance,” as per a statement.
The scents and diffuser are available for purchase now on Norlan’s website. Prices range from $95-$175 USD.
