Leica & Fender Team With Andy Summers on Limited Edition Camera & Guitar Collaboration
Honoring the Police guitarist and avid photographer.

Leica and Fender have joined The Police guitarist and avid photographer Andy Summers to create a limited edition camera and guitar showcasing some of the artist’s best work.
The camera comes in the form of an M Monochrom “Signature” model custom-wrapped in a leatherette collage of Summers’ black-and-white photos. The otherwise black camera is complemented by silver buttons, controls and dials while the topside of the body features the guitarist’s autograph emblazoned in an eye-catching red. Limited to just 50 units worldwide, the set comes with a Leica Summicron-M f/2 35mm ASPH lens equipped with a vintage lens hood, a guitar-strap-inspired black leather camera strap, and an Oberweth black leather camera bag highlighted with red stitching to complete the look.
Second in the collaboration is a Fender Custom Shop Andy Summers Monochrome Stratocaster built by none other than the brand’s master builder Dennis Galuszka himself. Like the camera, the two-piece alder body of the guitar is wrapped with Summers’ monochrome photographs taken with his collection of Leica M cameras. The one-piece neck is made from rift-sawn maple and carries a “63 C” profile, featuring 21 medium-vintage frets and a bone nut. As an added touch, the 15th fret has been replaced with a red Leica camera dot inlay.
“After all these years of being obsessed with photography and the guitar, I now have the two things together for the first time,” said Summers.
The Leica M Monochrom “Signature” by Andy Summers is now available on leicacamerausa.com, retailing for $15,000 USD, whilst the Fender Andy Summers Monochrome Strat is available at select Fender retailers. Head over to the fendercustomshop.com to learn more now.
