Will Ferrell & Ryan Reynolds to Star in 'A Christmas Carol' Musical Remake
A reimagining of Charles Dickens’ classic holiday story.

Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds are celebrating the most wonderful time of the year with a musical remake of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. While the exact nature of their roles have yet to be revealed, sources confirm that John Morris and Sean Anders (Daddy’s Home, We’re the Millers) will be writing and directing the famous novella’s reimagining.
Dickens’ original story was published in 1843 and follows the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an old miser who receives a visit from the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley, along with the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come. Each spirit teaches Scrooge a lesson from his past, present and future, eventually pushing him to become a kinder man and embody the true meaning of Christmas.
Both Ferrell and Reynolds have had quite a busy 2019, with the veteran comedian making appearances in James Franco’s Zeroville, Netflix’s Between Two Ferns: The Movie and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, and Reynolds starring in Hobbs & Shaw, Six Underground and lending his voice to Detective Pikachu.
In other entertainment news, Marvel released an animated short for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse hero Spider-Ham.
