L'Orange & Jeremiah Jae Share Animated Visual for Sinister New Single "After Alley Life"
Telling the story of a vet’s post-war flashbacks.
Lo-fi hip-hop duo L’Orange and Jeremiah Jae have unveiled a new song and video from their forthcoming LP, Complicate Your Life With Violence.
Entitled “After Alley Life,” the new track and accompanying video remain a surrealist portrayal of a veteran’s post-war flashbacks as he reassociates himself with daily civilian life. Directed and animated by Eric Power, the new visual continues with the duo’s various Neo-noir influences and riotously detailed storylines.
The forthcoming project follows a three-part story of enlistment, war, and the dark aftermath, whereby the new track sees producer L’Orange offering a sinisterly psychedelic and nearly cloudy backdrop filled with twangy guitar samples and basses, with Jae rapping out “Get washed away, the time to play is dead/Can’t aim for peace, they aiming at ya head.”
