L'Orange & Jeremiah Jae Reunite For Film Noir-Themed "Dead Battery" Visual
Further announcing their forthcoming ‘Complicate Your Life With Violence’ LP.
Returning from 2015’s The Night Took Us In Like Family, lo-fi producer-rapper duo L’Orange and Jeremiah Jae have returned with an interrogation-themed visual for “Dead Battery,” the lead single to the duo’s forthcoming LP, Complicate Your Life With Violence. The forthcoming record is said to be a continuation of the duo’s first LP, The Night Took Us In Like Family.
As can be expected from the duo, the new single and visual relishes in a similarly sinister and nearly psychedelic vibe that was exhibited via their last project. Specifically, the visual continues with the duo’s crime noir style, seeing Jae being questioned by a dirty interrogator, with clips intercut by some old school style animations reminiscent of early Disney cartoons. As can be expected, the new track puts forth a jazz-heavy instrumental, with Jae letting loose lyrically over the beat.
You can watch the visual for L’Orange and Jeremiah Jae’s “Dead Battery” above. Complicate Your Life With Violence arrives on October 4 via Mello Music Group.
For more music, Tkay Maidza recently tapped JPEGMAFIA for “Awake.”
