Bodega Highlights New Balance 997S "NO BAD DAYS" in Scenic Editorial
A pastoral backdrop complements the striking colorway.

One of the season’s most anticipated New Balance silhouettes, Bodega‘s forthcoming 997S “NO BAD DAYS” collaboration takes center stage in a sunny Malibu editorial. Starring SiR, the shots highlight the boutique’s seasonal goods alongside the covetable kicks.
“No bad days isn’t about altering your perception to the point where you can no longer perceive unfavorable developments; that would be anesthetization,” Bodega explains in a statement. “All of these shortcuts constitute taking leave of your full mental faculties. When those faculties return to normal, you would be right back at square one.” The design that informs the bespoke 997S takes cues from this shortcut-skirting mindset, acknowledging the pleasure of leisure while drawing inspiration from uncompromising workmanship.
In the shots, SirR strolls around a scenic beach and atop a stoney hill, swapping out patterned button-up shirts all the while. Lush plants and stark shadows complement the color palette of the 997S “NO BAD DAYS,” offering earthy suede and granite-tinged mesh towards the rear. Hits of yellow pepper the tongue and “N” branding, mirroring the bright splashes that crop up throughout the Californian landscape. Grey laces accent the neutral tones seen across the upper, while the alternate blue laces match the rear of the padded tongue and soothing ocean waves alike.
Expect the New Balance 997S “No Bad Days” to launch via in-store raffle at Bodega’s Boston and Los Angeles stores, beginning September 22 and ending on September 24. The sneakers will also drop on Bodega’s site September 28 at 10 AM in highly limited supply.
Most recently, New Balance teamed with two different retailers for collaborative silhouettes: HANON and YCMC.
