G-Shock Embraces Local Heroes at The Underground Fight Club

G-SHOCK Singapore celebrated the local heroes who have fought adversities to make a name for themselves in their own fields by hosting an exclusive invite-only event conceptualised entirely by G-SHOCK Singapore dubbed The Underground Fight Club. Individuals who obtained invites by submitting their story about the ‘fight of their life’, also had a chance to meet Mr Kikuo Ibe, the creator of G-SHOCK.
In addition to three experiential zones, the event hosted live painting demos from visual artist Sam Lo and illustrator Tiffany Tan as well as an MMA exhibition match. Attendees were also treated to a stacked lineup of musical performances, including beatboxer Dharni Ng, rapper Axel Brizzy and singer Joie Tan. Rounding out the immersive event was a gallery showcasing rare limited edition G-SHOCK watches, including the 35th anniversary NIGO x K. IBE timepiece.

The event also activated the new G-SHOCK GA-2100, a new G-SHOCK model that departs from the usual round and square bezels. The innovative timepiece is reinforced with a Carbon Core Guard Structure and, at just 11.8mm thick, it’s the thinnest of G-SHOCK’s collection. The watch will be available in an exclusive bundle, featuring a limited edition G-SHOCK x New Era cap, which will be sold at the brand’s retailers in Singapore.
