Activision has just announced that its upcoming Call of Duty: Mobile will officially launch on October 1 for both iOS and Android.
The game will be the first mobile title from Activision’s Call of Duty franchise, and was developed in collaboration with Chinese tech conglomerate Tencent. The free-to-play game will include maps, game modes, weapons, and characters from all across the series. Maps such as Modern Warfare‘s Crash and Crossfire or Black Ops’ Nuketown and Hijacked will all be featured. Game modes at launch will include Team Deathmatch, Free-For-All, Search and Destroy, as well as a 100-player Battle Royale mode involving a range of vehicles such as helicopters, rafts, and ATVs. Some nostalgic characters will also be making an appearance, such as Soap and Ghost from the Modern Warfare trilogy.
