WACKO MARIA Recruits fragment design for Elevated Wardrobe Essentials
Sophisticated menswear staples, reimagined.
Hiroshi Fujiwara has been on a collaborative tear recently, linking up with Off-White™ and Starbucks Japan in the past few weeks alone. Now, the creative has joined WACKO MARIA for a capsule collection of sophisticated wardrobe essentials, filtered through Fujiwara’s Ura-Hara sensibilities.
A leopard-lined drizzler jacket, cotton broadcloth shirt, 3-pack of T-shirts and two different types of trousers inform the collaborative range. Muted colors appear throughout — white, navy and black — which aid in emphasizing the bold leopard pattern and contrasting text printed throughout. “FRAGMENTS meets WACKO MARIA at the GUILTY PARTIES” is emblazoned at the rear of tees and around the waists of pleated slacks and twill Skating Pants alike, referencing WACKO MARIA’s “Guilty Parties” nomenclature. A special “WM” logo and fragment lightning bolt reinforce the joint effort, while “fragments” appears on the rear of the jackets.
Isetan Shinjuku’s web store and Men’s department will receive the exclusive drop on August 21. Prices range from ¥20,000 JPY (approximately $190 USD) for the white shirt to ¥25,000 JPY (approximately $240 USD) for the 3-pack to ¥63,000 JPY (approximately $600 USD) for the leopard-lined drizzler jacket.
Recently, Fujiwara’s THE CONVENI imprint joined FACETASM and Medicom Toy for even more collaborative gear.
