Smino Releases Upbeat New Single "Reverend"
His first solo project of the year.
After teaming up with J.Cole, EARTHGANG and Saba on Dreamville’s “Sacrifices,” Smino returns with an upbeat track to close out the summer. The St. Louis-born musician released his latest single “Reverend” on Thursday night, marking his first solo work of 2019. The track follows Smino’s critically-acclaimed sophomore album NOIR, which was originally conceived as a mixtape as revealed in an interview with HYPEBEAST. He also shared in a tweet that he initially wanted the song to be titled “Rev Run” but was shut down by the Run-DMC founder.
