Nike Celebrates Early 2000s Basketball Culture With "China Hoop Dream" Collection
Comprised of eight different looks.

Nike is celebrating the upcoming FIBA tournament in a whole lot of ways. After introducing the four-piece FIBA-inspired capsule comprised of a Jordan Jumpman Diamond, Air Jordan XXXIII SE, Air Jordan XII and Air Jordan IV, the Swoosh has given fans a preview for its forthcoming “China Hoop Dreams” collection.
“China Hoop Dreams” collection will consist of eight models — including basketball icons like the Nike Air Flightposite, the running go-to Air VaporMax Flyknit, and lifestyle silhouette Air Force 1 Jester XX — each paying homage to the early 2000s basketball culture with its locker-room like customizations and wall-to-wall poster print art.
The aforementioned Air VaporMax Flyknit will be released in two different colorways, a dark knit with red hits interwoven throughout its upper and in a bold yellow-to-orange-to-red gradient. The Air Force 1 Lows come in either a black or white colorway and feature an eye-catching print on its back heel, while the Air Flightposites have been decked out with silver uppers. Elsewhere the Shox BB4 sports a skyline motif and the mismatched Jester XX features graffiti-styled graphics. Finally the Benassi JDI slides have been emblazoned with various basketball iconography.
The “China Hoops Dream” pack will release throughout Greater China in two separate drops. The first release will land on August 8 and include the Nike Air Force 1 ‘07, Nike Air Force 1 Jester XX, two different Nike VaporMax Flyknits, and the Nike Benassi JDI Print Slide. The Nike Shox BB4, Nike Air Flightposite, and Nike Air Force 1 High ‘07 will drop at the end of the month on August 31. An accompanying apparel line will also coincide with the footwear release.
The FIBA World Cup kicks off at the end of the month on August 31.
