Just one day away from the start of 89th La Liga Santander, HBTV delivers an intimate interview with Real Madrid‘s veteran striker Karim Benzema.
The 31-year-old, three-time French Player of the Year is coming off yet another year complete with career-defining milestones. Although his club fell short of their 34th La Liga title, then lost in the Round of 16 at the Champions League, Benzema became the seventh player to score 200 goals for Real and reached 60 career Champions League goals to become just the fourth player to do so. Now entering his 11th season with Los Blancos, the forward is eager to begin his latest campaign with newcomers Eden Hazard and Luka Jović.
While touring North America playing preseason friendlies, Benzema welcomed us to a day of training in Montreal, Québec. He spoke about what it’s like to play for a celebrated club like Real Madrid, the importance of training, and what he needs in a proper boot.
