Watch the Teaser Trailer for the 'Jason Bourne' Spin-Off Series 'Treadstone'
Starring a new group of sleeper agents going on the run.
Universal Pictures‘ latest attempt to launch a spin-off from the Jason Bourne franchise is a USA Network series called Treadstone, and the first teaser trailer for the show has surfaced. Treadstone will follow a group of CIA sleeper agents discovering their hidden talents and conditioning, with the authorities on the chase to hunt them all down.
SoYun Pak (Han Hyo-Joo) and J. Randolph Bentley (Jeremy Irvine) will serve as the series’ focus, as well as Petra (Emilia Schüle), who will play a Russian KGB agent. The visuals above showcase car-chases and hand-to-hand combat, staples of the Bourne franchise. A spin-off film called The Bourne Legacy starring Jeremy Renner premiered in 2012, and although it was a box office hit, it wasn’t reived well by critics and long-time fans of the films.
