Father Returns with Video for New Single "A lot on ur plate"
Plus, dates for the artist’s upcoming US tour.
Atlanta-based rapper and producer Father recently dropped a new single and accompanying music video for “A lot on ur plate” after making fans wait since his 2018 project, Awful Swim. In “A lot on ur plate,” Father experiments with auto-tune over a melodic track produced by meltycannon, who the artist has collaborated with many times in the past.
The song’s lyrics focus on Father’s desire to woo a woman with a packed schedule. Following a similar trippy narrative as Father’s collaborative video with Open Mike Eagle which released back in May, the video for “A lot on ur plate” shows the artist in a living room surrounded by distorted effects and hallucinations.
Along with the new single comes more good news; Father has also announced his next headlining US tour, which is slated to kick off next month in Los Angeles. Stream the video for “A lot on ur plate” above, and browse through Father’s upcoming tour dates below.
