Eddie Murphy Will Host ‘Saturday Night Live’ in December
Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, and Camila Cabello revealed as the first performers.
Saturday Night Live revealed its five hosts for its upcoming 45th season but one particular special guest stands out. Eddie Murphy will be coming back to host SNL‘s holiday episode on Dec. 21. This will be the superstar comedian’s first time hosting since 1984 when Beverly Hills Cop was released.
Murphy will star in the Netflix movie Dolemite Is My Name, which will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival next month. Woody Harrelson, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Kristen Stewart and David Harbour will also host SNL.
The names of some of the upcoming musical guests were also shared. Billie Eilish will open the season on Sept. 28, with Taylor Swift performing the next weekend on Oct. 5 and Camila Cabello playing on Oct. 12. No musical guests have been announced for Nov. 2 and Dec. 21 shows yet.
