Metropolitan Channels East Coast Nostalgia in Third Drop of 2019
With NYC-inspired graphics and retro colorways.
Metropolitan returns with its third drop of 2019, following its second drop in April and its first drop earlier this year. Headed by HUF founder Keith Hufnagel, the ’90s skate brand continues to expand its cut and sew apparel wear and accessories with new styles, washes and silhouettes.
While prioritizing the brand’s quality and fit, the third drop explores east coast nostalgia and ephemera. Metropolitan pays homage to New York City with graphics of the Statue of Liberty and the city’s skyline on T-shirts in a retro-colored palette of yellow, purple, black and tie-dye. Highlights of the collection include the BQE anorak and track pants, “Corner” shorts, “Contrast Stitch” fleeces and a collaborative Pelican Micro Case with co-branded exterior. Hoodies, crewnecks, work pants and shorts sport Metropolitan branding while a T-shirt, available in coral and white, includes a graphic of Auguste Rodin’s iconic The Kiss. The third drop also features baseball caps in a variety of styles — from all-over corduroy to prints of NYC buildings to six panels of multicolors.
The third drop will be available to purchase on August 28 at 9 a.m. EST on metropolitanusa.com and at select in-store locations.
